Since graduating with a PhD from NUI Galway, Nina has several years’ experience in multi-disciplinary and multinational research projects with commercial focus. She has led several EU research projects involving partnerships of universities, government agencies, research institutions, SMEs, and multinationals. Nina has worked closely with companies such as Nestlé, Baxter, Beckman Coulter, BioMerieux, Charles River Laboratories, Mobidiag, Genewave, Nizo, Natac, Aquila Biosciences, and institutions such as the World Health Organisation (WHO), the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI).

He began his career as a recruiter with BMS Performance, a technical sales specialst company in Dublin, before moving to Bentley Systems where he continued his career as a Senior Consultant in the Talent Acquisition Team for the EMEA region. Joe also worked Analog Devices as a Lead Recruiter on their EMA Talent Acquisition team, where he worked on many high-profile projects in Ireland and across Europe.
In his free time, Joe enjoys writing and recently published his first book. He also loves spending time with his family and wishes he was still young enough to play football.
